DTZ is pleased to announce that they have secured an exclusive instruction for consultancy and leasing of a shopping and entertainment centre, due to be developed on Generala Pertova Str, in Malinovskiy Region of Odessa. The developers will be Amstor LLC. Target opening date of the shopping and entertainment centre is the fourth quarter 2011. The project with a planned GBA of over 55,000 sq m will include; food hypermarket, DIY, furniture superstore, electronics supermarket, shopping gallery and entertainment area.
Nick Cotton, Managing Director DTZ Ukraine said: “Odessa’s population of over one million residents remains significantly undersupplied with quality retail space. This development will be the second high-quality end destination mall in the city and, being located within the south western districts will be drawing on a different catchment to the hugely successful Riviera Shopping City located in the eastern periphery of Kotovskoho settlement. Despite only being at the planning stage, we are already registering strong interest from leading retailers seeking to lease space in this new scheme.”
Earlier this year, DTZ were engaged by Amstor to undertake initial development consultancy and conception in relation to their land plots in Kiev and Odessa. The recommendations supported the prioritised delivery of a shopping and entertainment centre concept on the Odessa site. This concept has been adopted by Amstor as the basis for the ongoing project.
