Overview
DTZ’s hospitality team was exclusively retained by Irish developer, Ballymore, to provide development consultancy and operator selection services for the high-profile Snow Hill mixed-use development, in the heart of Birmingham’s city centre.
Ballymore required DTZ’s expert assistance to provide development advisory services, including operator selection and tendering the opportunity to international five-star operators as a centrepiece of this mixed-use scheme.
The Snow Hill development will comprise 55,700 sq m of new office space, as well as retail, public space and 300 apartments.

Results
DTZ generated a strong level of interest and received 13 expressions of interest in the opportunity.
Ballymore, advised by DTZ, signed a management agreement with luxury hotel group Starwood, who will manage the hotel under the renowned ‘Westin’ brand.
The hotel will also comprise 24 serviced apartments, health club facilities, cafés and restaurants. It will be the first international five-star hotel in Birmingham.
