DTZ's global HQ wins European award

21 October, 2009

DTZ's global HQ, 125 Old Broad Street London wins Smart Workplace of the Year 2009 at the Managing Partners’ Forum (MPF) European Practice Management Awards.

The award was presented in recognition of the benefits derived by DTZ from moving to a new HQ building in the City of London in December 2008, and the rationalisation of the company’s London estate. The award recognised the improved ways of working that have been introduced to the business as a result of bringing teams closer together, which in turn has promoted and supported seamless client service.

Additionally, DTZ’s HQ achieved the BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method - which sets the standard for best practice in sustainable design and proves the environmental credentials of buildings) ‘very good’ rating, in recognition of DTZ’s sustainability credentials. Jodie Potter, UK Relocation Client Services Manager for DTZ collected the award.

About the Managing Partners’ Forum

Founded in 1995 with its HQ in London, the 300 strong Managing Partners’ Forum is the premier association for those involved in the management of professional firms throughout the world. It actively campaigns for excellence in management through highlighting issues that stand in the way of effective management. The MPF also encourages firms to appoint management experts to their executive committees, providing survey-based insights and tailored events to enable experts to make a valued contribution.

About the European Practice Management Awards

To encourage the professional services sector to set its sights high and showcase leadership in management excellence, European Practice Management Awards were introduced by the MPF in 2002 to showcase the contribution of different disciplines (marketing, HR, technology, finance, facilities, KM etc) in managing a professional firm. Some categories are open to any eligible firm or network of firms, whilst others are presented to a single firm or individual based on merit. Rigorous judging is the responsibility of a panel of independent consultants and experts based worldwide, chaired by leading management consultant, Alan Hodgart. The Royal Bank of Scotland was principal sponsor.
