Download attachmentThe opening quarter of 2010 saw the regional commercial markets still facing into headwinds. Both the office and industrial markets continue to encounter hurdles as a result of ongoing economic and liquidity challenges. As these challenges hang over the markets they remain in a fragile position, however, the emergence of more favourable economic indicators would suggest that the worst is behind the markets. This is evident in improved levels of enquiries and sentiment recorded across the regions, particularly towards the latter end of the quarter. That said, a more cautious approach exists among potential tenants and deals continue to take time to close as occupiers assess market conditions.
