Although 2009 was characterised by the global financial crisis, DTZ Egeskov & Lindquist A/S has succeeded in completing eight midsize office leases in Q2-Q4 2009 in Greater Copenhagen alone. Midsize office leases are defined as 1,000 sq m – 4,000 sq m.
At the end of the year, the two last lease contracts on midsize office leases were signed. One of them, a lease of approx. 2,900 sq m in Copenhagen was entered into with an educational company and the other, an approx. 1,500 sq m domicile in Gentofte north of Copenhagen, was entered into with a trading company, which will use the property as domicile in the future.
The entire property in Copenhagen is approx. 23,000 sq m. With two-level basement parking and basement functions this totals approx. 29,000 sq m. The property is primarily used for office and educational purposes and is thus built to house another educational organisation. In order to match the tenant’s specific demands, there will be various ordinary adjustments and special lay-outs made in order to house the tenant for the next number of years. After the letting, only three small leases remain in the property.
The property in Gentofte is a typical domicile property and the interior and exterior was built using quality materials. In connection with the task of letting the property, it was important for the landlord that the brand of the future tenant fit the property and also possessed a high degree of solidity. The lease was completed within three months.
