John Hickey is the International Director, Occupational and Development Markets based in Sydney, Australia. John is a member of the Management Committee of DTZ.
John has over 23 years office leasing experience in the Sydney CBD market and has a proven ability to attract tenants for significant pre-commitments to lease projects. With his vast experience in project marketing, John is regarded as one of Sydney’s most experienced negotiators and has personally brokered hundreds of thousands of metres of office space in Sydney.
Some highlights over John’s vast experience include the lease to Commonwealth Bank of Australia of 58,000 square metres, 40,000 square metres to PricewaterhouseCoopers at Darling Park and numerous other transactions on behalf of major corporate clients including 259 George Street, 45 Clarence Street, 1 Margaret Street, 60 Castlereagh Street, Darling Park - Stage II, 56 Pitt Street, 44 Martin Place, Grosvenor Place, Governor Philip Tower and 580 George Street to name but a few.
On a Regional basis John is DTZ’s Asia Pacific Business Group Leader for the Occupational and Development Markets.
Prior to DTZ, John was Principal for Grosvenor Hickey Tindale, a Director at Stanton Hillier Parker and began his property career at Mirvac.
